A day to enjoy a friendly competition or cheer on your paddler!
Participants will paddle along the historic Feeder Canal in Queensbury to Martindale Boat Basin in Hudson Falls. This is a 5 mile flatwater paddle beginning at the Feeder Canal off Exit 18 of the Northway at the end of Richardson St./Town of Queensbury and ends at the Martindale Boat Basin on Martindale Ave. in Hudson Falls. You can enter as solo paddler or two paddlers, for more than two paddlers, please contact the Canal Alliance office; there are several race categories. PFD's are required. There is no shuttle service.
This is a great family fun day and features a paddler's raffle and Award Ceremony following the race. The race and paddle will take place Rain or Shine! Registration race day begins at 9am or click here for online registration. There is also an option for a virtual paddle, run, walk or bike with information on the website.
The Feeder Canal Alliance, a not-for-profit organization, was created to preserve, promote and maintain the historic Feeder Canal, the last remaining original canal in New York State. Enjoy walking, running and bicycling along the tow path; canoe and kayak the seven-mile Feeder Canal as it flows from the Feeder Dam in Queensbury through Glens Falls, Hudson Falls, and Kingsbury. The canal and towpath today provide recreational opportunities as well as providing a glimpse into the past.
